The development of railways stands as a pivotal milestone in the history transportation, transforming world and revolutionising movement people goods. From their humble beginnings rudimentary track systems to sophisticated interconnected networks we witness today, have played crucial role fostering economic growth, promoting globalisation, shaping modern societies. Moreover, grapples with urgent need mitigate climate change transition sustainable modes has gained significant attention. Railways long been recognised one most environmentally friendly means mass transit, offering lower carbon emissions, energy efficiency, reduced congestion compared other transportation modes. However, there are still many challenges overcome provide continuous sustainability context environmental impacts, especially related wildlife habitat protection. This scientific paper aims explore concept railways, providing comprehensive analysis influences. As result, authors present complex topic, combining different perspectives—ecological, engineering, legislative.
